The Luxembourg Declaration defines workplace health promotion (WHP) as the combined efforts of employers, employees and society to improve the health and well-being of people at work. WHP aims at encouraging personal development and healthy lifestyle, improving work organisation and the working environment by a wide range of measures, and at promoting active participation of employees in WHP processes. The procedure of WHP is oriented on the Cycle of Business Excellence. This article presents the development, methods, projects, evaluation and quality control of WHP.
