Relief of hard palatal mucosa was examined to identify ethno-racial and gender affiliation in representatives of europeoid, mongolid, and intermediate racial groups, viz Estonians (northern europeoid type), Azerbajaninans (southern europeoid), Koreans (Far East mongoloid), and Kasakhs (intermediate). The results of the study suggest the possibility in principle to identify the ethno-racial affiliation of human subjects from the distribution pattern of hard palate mucosal folds.
对硬腭黏膜进行检查，以确定欧洲人种、蒙古人种及中间人种群体（即爱沙尼亚人（北欧欧洲人种类型）、阿塞拜疆人（南欧欧洲人种）、韩国人（远东蒙古人种）和哈萨克人（中间人种））代表的种族和性别归属。研究结果表明，原则上有可能根据硬腭黏膜褶皱的分布模式来确定人类受试者的种族归属。
