In the speetrophotometric determination of Ga (III) after extraction of its chloro-complex with Rhodamine B, addition of sodium chloride has been found to be very effective for improving the sensitivity and broadening the operating conditions, e.g., a wider range of acid and dye concentration can be employed. The improvement is due to increased extraction of the gallium in the presence of sodium chloride.
