To study the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in bladder transitional cell carcinoma (Tcc) and the clinical significance thereof.
Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of COX-2 in 56 specimens of bladder Tcc and 10 specimens of normal bladder tissue, all resected during operation.
No expression of COX-2 was detected in the 10 specimens of normal bladder tissue and in the 56 specimens of bladder Tcc the positive rate of COX-2 was 55.36%. The expression of COX-2 in bladder Tcc was closely correlated with the grade and stage of tumor (both P < 0.01).

研究环氧化酶-2(COX-2)在膀胱移行细胞癌(Tcc)中的表达及其临床意义。
采用免疫组织化学法检测56例膀胱Tcc手术切除标本及10例正常膀胱组织标本中COX-2的表达。
10例正常膀胱组织标本中未检测到COX-2表达,56例膀胱Tcc标本中COX-2阳性率为55.36%。膀胱Tcc中COX-2的表达与肿瘤分级和分期密切相关(均P < 0.01)。
