The sentinel lymph node biopsy has become the standard procedure in the staging and management of axillary lymph nodes in early breast cancer. This procedure has been validated by several studies with an accuracy of 95% and a false-negative rate ranging from 5 to 15%. Aim of this study is to analyze the most updated results and open problems reported in literature in the use of sentinel node biopsy in breast surgery.
前哨淋巴结活检已成为早期乳腺癌腋窝淋巴结分期和管理的标准程序。该程序已通过多项研究验证，准确率达95%，假阴性率在5%至15%之间。本研究的目的是分析文献中报道的关于前哨淋巴结活检在乳腺手术中应用的最新结果和存在的问题。
