Abstract
The pattern electroretinogram (PERG) was examined in 79 eyes (47 patients) of diabetic retinopathy (DR), with the results that the amplitude of b-wave was significantly reduced early in the subclinical phase of DR, and the latency was lengthened from stage I on. The value of PERG in the early functional diagnosis of DR was discussed.
