Patient safety. Birth of a new age in maternity care.

NHS maternity services are under pressure to improve safety. A wide range of stakeholders is pressing for change. Much of this is top-down and critical and risks disempowering staff. The King's Fund is working with maternity units to identify their priorities and learning. Sharing learning can encourage maternity staff to acknowledge their role in making changes.
