A moderately halophilic, Gram-positive-staining, endospore-forming, rod-shaped and strictly aerobic bacterium, designated strain NHBX5(T), was isolated from Lake Nanhuobuxun in China. Strain NHBX5(T) was able to grow at NaCl concentrations of 0-22 % (w/v) (optimally at 7 %, w/v), at pH 6.0-9.0 (optimally at pH 7.5) and at temperatures of 10-45 degrees C (optimally at 37 degrees C). The cell-wall peptidoglycan of strain NHBX5(T) contained meso-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid. The predominant isoprenoid quinone was MK-7. The major cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C(15 : 0) and anteiso-C(17 : 0). The polar lipids were phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol and a glycolipid. The genomic DNA G+C content of strain NHBX5(T) was 44.9 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence comparisons revealed that strain NHBX5(T) was most closely related to Sediminibacillus halophilus EN8d(T) (98.6 % gene sequence similarity). The level of DNA-DNA relatedness between strain NHBX5(T) and S. halophilus CGMCC 1.6199(T) was 34.6 %. Based on the data presented, strain NHBX5(T) represents a novel species of the genus Sediminibacillus, for which the name Sediminibacillus albus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is NHBX5(T) (=DSM 19340(T) =CGMCC 1.6502(T)). In addition, an emended description of the genus Sediminibacillus is presented.
从中国南湖布尔逊湖分离出一株中度嗜盐、革兰氏阳性、产芽孢、杆状且严格需氧的细菌,命名为菌株NHBX5(T)。菌株NHBX5(T)能够在0-22%(w/v)的NaCl浓度下生长(最适浓度为7%,w/v),在pH 6.0-9.0(最适pH为7.5)以及10-45℃的温度下生长(最适温度为37℃)。菌株NHBX5(T)的细胞壁肽聚糖含有内消旋二氨基庚二酸作为诊断性二氨基酸。主要的类异戊二烯醌为MK-7。主要的细胞脂肪酸为anteiso-C(15 : 0)和anteiso-C(17 : 0)。极性脂为磷脂酰甘油、双磷脂酰甘油和一种糖脂。菌株NHBX5(T)的基因组DNA G+C含量为44.9 mol%。基于16S rRNA基因序列比较的系统发育分析表明,菌株NHBX5(T)与嗜盐沉积物芽孢杆菌EN8d(T)关系最为密切(基因序列相似性为98.6%)。菌株NHBX5(T)与嗜盐沉积物芽孢杆菌CGMCC 1.6199(T)之间的DNA-DNA相关性水平为34.6%。根据所提供的数据,菌株NHBX5(T)代表沉积物芽孢杆菌属的一个新物种,为此提出名为白色沉积物芽孢杆菌(Sediminibacillus albus sp. nov.)的名称。模式菌株为NHBX5(T)(=DSM 19340(T)=CGMCC 1.6502(T))。此外,还给出了沉积物芽孢杆菌属的修订描述。
