The composition and the size of proteoglycans (PGs) and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) from femoral head cartilage of different age were determined by caesium chloride density gradient centrifugation, sepharose chromatography and chemical analysis. The results showed that the size of PG subunits from articular cartilage decreases with increasing age. In PGs and GAGs from cartilage, uronic acid and galactosamine content decreased; the ratio of in keratin sulphate to chondroitin sulphate increased; glucosamine and hydroxyproline content decreased with age The cause of degenerative changes and the measures to prevent and treat them are discussed.
采用氯化铯密度梯度离心、琼脂糖凝胶色谱法和化学分析法测定不同年龄股骨头软骨中蛋白聚糖(PGs)和糖胺聚糖(GAGs)的组成和大小。结果表明,关节软骨中PG亚基的大小随年龄增长而减小。软骨中的PGs和GAGs中,糖醛酸和半乳糖胺含量降低;硫酸角质素与硫酸软骨素的比例增加;氨基葡萄糖和羟脯氨酸含量随年龄增长而降低。文中讨论了退变改变的原因及防治措施。
