Abstract
Problems related to medical devices and equipment can be dangerous--occasionally even deadly. This article reviews the 10 most common health technology hazards, identified by the ECRI Institute (2008). The list is based on investigations and consultations over device-related incidents, and on information in problem-reporting databases run by the institute and other organisations.
