The main objective of pediatric endoscopy is to examine completely the upper or lower gastrointestinal tract with the least trauma and risk to the child. The purpose of this manuscript is to present a method that has been used successfully at a midwest children's hospital for a number of years. Both pros and cons will be discussed.
