Genetic instability, such as morphological variation, is a common occurrence in Streptomyces. It causes lots of trouble in fermentation industry and research, such as strain degeneration and reduction of antibiotic productivity. The relationship between genetic instability and chromosome instability in Streptomyces has been well studied. It is very important to reveal the molecular mechanism of genetic instability for strain improvement and for construction of stable overproducing strains. In this review, the present status and prospect on the study of the genetic instability in Streptomyces are presented.
遗传不稳定性,如形态变异,在链霉菌中很常见。它在发酵工业和研究中引发诸多问题,如菌株退化和抗生素生产力下降。链霉菌中遗传不稳定性与染色体不稳定性之间的关系已得到充分研究。揭示遗传不稳定性的分子机制对于菌株改良和构建稳定的高产菌株非常重要。本文综述了链霉菌遗传不稳定性研究的现状与展望。
