One of the nation's largest academic medical centers is taking steps to ensure that when its new ambulatory care center opens next year, patients will spend very little time in waiting rooms or registration areas. Johns Hopkins' new $140 million ambulatory care center will consolidate outpatient services now scattered in six buildings.
