The first month a new senior executive is on the job presents a critical opportunity to integrate him or her into a hospital's corporate culture. But human resources experts say hospital administrators often let this increasingly important opportunity slip by. Although hospitals are spending more and more time and money on executive searches, experts say they're not always making sure the new hire is set up to succeed in the organization he or she has joined. The first month on the job, they say, should serve as a strategic orientation for the new hire.
