An unusual tumour of the cerebellopontine angle.
To report an extremely rare case of lipoma of the cerebellopontine angle (CPA).
A 33-year-old woman presented with vertigo and tinnitus in the left ear. Her physical examination was unremarkable. Audiometric evaluation was normal in both ears. T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) without fat signal suppression revealed a hyperintense lesion of the left CPA. Based on the neuroimaging findings, the diagnosis was left CPA lipoma. The patient was managed conservatively. After 48 months, follow-up MRI revealed no further growth of the lesion and the patient was symptom free.
Lipomas of the CPA should be considered in the differential diagnosis of vertigo and tinnitus. Accurate diagnosis by MRI is critical.
桥小脑角区的一种不寻常肿瘤。
报告一例极其罕见的桥小脑角区脂肪瘤病例。
一名33岁女性出现眩晕和左耳耳鸣。体格检查无异常。双耳听力测试评估正常。未进行脂肪信号抑制的T1加权磁共振成像（MRI）显示左侧桥小脑角区有一个高信号病变。根据神经影像学检查结果，诊断为左侧桥小脑角区脂肪瘤。该患者接受了保守治疗。48个月后，随访MRI显示病变无进一步生长，患者无症状。
在眩晕和耳鸣的鉴别诊断中应考虑桥小脑角区脂肪瘤。通过MRI进行准确诊断至关重要。
