Abstract

Through the description of the process of psychotherapy of an obsessional patient by a psychiatric resident under supervision a number of factors which impact on treatment response and outcome are focused upon. The aim is to elicit the multiple factors impinging upon a single treatment situation with some broader implications for research as well as training.
