Practice in integration of all role behaviors of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a key concern of nurse educators in planning clinical learning experiences for the CNS student. If integration of role behaviors is minimal in the CNS graduate, effective functioning in today's complex health delivery system is compromised. A description of a three consecutive quarter opportunity to incorporate the role behaviors of the CNS is presented.
