Congenital solid thigh mass: a report of nonself healing form of langerhans cell histiocytosis.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is very rarely seen in the pediatric age group. Self-healing is the usual clinical course in congenital LCH with cutaneous involvement. We describe a newborn with a solid mass in his thigh noticed at birth, without skin manifestations. LCH should be considered in the differential diagnosis of congenital solid masses.
