The effect of chronic administration of antioxidant dibunol (BHT) on the blood level of thyrotropin, corticotropin, thyroxin, triiodothyronine, 11-hydroxycorticosteroids, immunoreactive insulin and the reactivity of isolated thyroids and adrenals to tropic hormones were studied in adult and old male rats. Chronic administration of BHT was found to inhibit the thyroid functional activity of both animal groups and to reduce the blood insulin level in the old rats. The results obtained suggest that hormonal effects play an essential role in the mechanism of BHT action on the organism.
研究了成年和老年雄性大鼠长期给予抗氧化剂二丁基羟基甲苯(BHT)对促甲状腺激素、促肾上腺皮质激素、甲状腺素、三碘甲状腺原氨酸、11-羟皮质类固醇、免疫反应性胰岛素的血液水平以及离体甲状腺和肾上腺对促激素的反应性的影响。发现长期给予BHT可抑制两组动物的甲状腺功能活动,并降低老年大鼠的血液胰岛素水平。所得结果表明,激素效应在BHT对机体作用的机制中起重要作用。
