I am happy to share with my friends and colleagues a report on the directions that dental education at the New York University College of Dentistry will be taking in the years ahead. Indeed, as the college continues a year-long celebration commemorating the 125th anniversary of its founding, in 1865, it is fitting that our retrospective of the past helps us to discern and capsulize the future.
