We present herein a 2-year-old boy who suffered from chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis for 6 months and was later diagnosed as acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In view of the rarity of bilateral symmetric and multifocal lesions in osteomyelitis in children, we suggest that leukemia should be investigated with bone marrow aspiration in such patients, even if complete blood count parameters are normal, and there is no hepatosplenomegaly.
我们在此报告一名2岁男孩，他患有慢性复发性多灶性骨髓炎6个月，后来被诊断为急性淋巴细胞白血病。鉴于儿童骨髓炎中双侧对称和多灶性病变的罕见性，我们建议，即使全血细胞计数参数正常且无肝脾肿大，对此类患者也应进行骨髓穿刺检查以排查白血病。
