Abstract

This case report presents the endodontic management of a maxillary second molar with clinical and radiographic presentation of 2 palatal canals. The canal morphology was confirmed with the aid of spiral computerized tomography, which revealed a C-shaped canal configuration of palatal canal with 2 separate apical foramens. The article presents the unusual canal morphology alterations and the importance of using diagnostic adjuncts in their accurate diagnosis.

本病例报告介绍了上颌第二磨牙的根管治疗,该牙具有两个腭侧根管的临床和影像学表现。借助螺旋计算机断层扫描确认了根管形态,结果显示腭侧根管呈C形,有两个独立的根尖孔。本文介绍了这种不寻常的根管形态改变以及使用诊断辅助手段进行准确诊断的重要性。
