Abstract
Ultrasound is now an important tool for the diagnosis of tumours in the lower pelvis. Endovaginal ultrasound is being used increasingly for the diagnosis of gynaecological disease and has improved the resolution and interpretation of data. This review describes possibilities and limitations of the use of ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cystic tumours.
