[Graham's carcinoma of the thyroid gland].

Reported in this paper is a female patient aged 32 years with Basedow's disease. A sclerosing anaplastic (undifferentiated) microcarcinoma was intraoperatively detected. The anisotropy index of collagen in the tumour stroma was investigated together with the index of those portions of the thyroid tissue which had been altered by Graves' hyperplasia. The guess was that the differences recorded had been attributable to organ-related peculiarities in the architecture of the intercellular matrix.
