The authors report culture techniques for human corneal cells, by which they successfully established a pure primary culture of epithelial, endothelial cells, and keratocytes, each forming an adherent and confluent monolayer. The morphology of each cell type was described. The culture of the three types of cells allows their structures and functions to be studied in vitro. Successful experience and points of note are discussed.
