The analysis of data from literature and of the author's own 3 observations suggests that epithelioid sarcoma of Enzinger should be separated from soft tissue tumors of obscure genesis. It has a peculiar morphological structure, affects predominantly distal parts of the extremities in the area of tendons and joint capsules, and has some features of the clinical course and prognosis.
