[Antibiotics and ecology in the Third World].

Infectious diseases are more common in developing than in developed countries, as in inapropriate use of antibiotics, and antibioticresistant microbes. Problems connected to misuse of antibiotics and resistance to these substances, and the ecological disturbances following use of such drugs, are of global importance. The author underlines the need for improvements.
