Abstract
The authors study the periodontal modifications of 150 women during genital activity period, and of low socio economic level, aged from 17 to 40 years, using oral contraceptives. They value the effects of oral contraceptives on the gingivia and the role of oral hygiene. They use, for this study, the oral hygiene index simplified by Greene and Vermillon and the gingival index of Loe and Silness.
