The treatment of patients with relapses of destructive pulmonary tuberculosis is associated with serious difficulties. At the stage of chemotherapy it has been possible to achieve cavity closure in 36.6% of the patients. Surgical intervention was required in 46.5% of the cases with relapses of destructive tuberculosis. Prevalence of common and complicated forms of destructive tuberculosis in these patients necessitates the use of a complete choice of the operating means available in pulmonary surgery..
