This laboratory study investigated the dimensional stability and surface detail reproduction of rigid impression materials after a 20-minute immersion in 2% ID 210 solution. The chemical disinfectant and regime of use appear to be compatible with the impression materials tested. The dyed disinfectant not only penetrated into impression plaster but also diffused into stone casts poured against such impressions.
