[Nursing care of patients with AIDS].

Nursing administration strategies for a holistic care of patients with the immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and of people infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are included in the article. The strategies which are discussed refer to: (a) the effective organization and function of nursing services, (b) the continuing education of health care personnel, and (c) the position of international nursing organisations on the subject.
