Abstract
We treated 52 patients with anal and low rectal carcinomas by orthotopic reconstruction of the anus, using an unilateral split gluteus maximum (GM) muscle flap to form the external anal sphincter and levator ani together with invagination of the colon to form the internal sphincter after radical resection of carcinoma. Among the 36 patients who were followed up for over 6 months, 34 (94.4%) exhibited good to excellent continence.

我们采用单侧臀大肌（GM）肌瓣原位肛门重建术治疗52例肛管及低位直肠癌患者，在癌根治切除术后，利用该肌瓣与结肠套叠共同形成肛门外括约肌和肛提肌，同时形成肛门内括约肌。在36例随访超过6个月的患者中，34例（94.4%）控便功能良好至优秀。
