Abstract

AIM

The effect of stress hormone corticosterone on hippocampal neurons delayed rectified potassium currents was probed.

METHODS

The potassium currents of rat hippocampal neurons in primary culture were measured with patch clamp whole-cell recording.

RESULTS

It showed that the amplitudes of the potassium currents in hippocampal neurons decreased. However, the threshold potential of potassium currents increased.

CONCLUSION

It is speculated that excessive corticosterone may hurt the hippocampal neurons via its effects on the potassium currents of rat hippocampal cells.

摘要

目的

探讨应激激素皮质酮对海马神经元延迟整流钾电流的影响。

方法

采用膜片钳全细胞记录法测量原代培养的大鼠海马神经元的钾电流。

结果

结果显示海马神经元钾电流幅度降低,然而钾电流的阈电位升高。

结论

推测过量皮质酮可能通过影响大鼠海马细胞的钾电流而损害海马神经元。
