In the dinuclear centrosymmetric title complex, [Hg(2)Br(4)(C(17)H(13)N(5)O(2))(2)]·2C(3)H(7)NO, the Hg(II) atom is coordinated by two Br atoms and two N atoms from two different ligands in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The solvent mol-ecule is linked to the 28-atom ring by two hydrogen bonds.
