Abstract

Cytophotometric DNA determination was performed on 23 biopsies of meningiomas. The DNA distributions were compared with the histological criteria of malignancy used by the World Health Organisation. Most of the meningiomas studied were diploid or slightly hyperdiploid. In one case, in which eight recurrent tumours were studied, regional differences in histology and DNA pattern were found. Histological anaplasia should be suspected in advance. When it is present, a considerable risk exists that the tumour will recur.

对23例脑膜瘤活检标本进行了细胞光度法DNA测定。将DNA分布与世界卫生组织使用的恶性组织学标准进行了比较。大多数研究的脑膜瘤为二倍体或轻度超二倍体。在一个研究了8个复发性肿瘤的病例中，发现了组织学和DNA模式的区域差异。应提前怀疑组织学间变。当存在组织学间变时，肿瘤复发的风险相当大。
