[Value of ultrasound and sialography in diagnosis of chronic inflammatory diseases of the parotid salivary glands].

In this study in 29 patients with Clinical picture of chronic parotitis the comparison was made between the ultrasound and sialographic characteristic. Biopsy of the parotid gland was performed in all patients and chronic disease was patho-histologically verified in all of them. Ultrasound diagnostic method according to our examinations has been shown to be a very reliable in detection of chronic inflammatory processes in the parotid salivary glands.
