Puzzling, treatment-resistant oval erosions occurred in a forty-two-year-old woman shortly after treatment with etretinate was begun for psoriasis. Appearing on the breasts, inguinal folds, and buttocks, these lesions persisted and increased in size and number during three months of hospitalization. The cause proved to be etretinate; stopping use of the drug led to complete healing within three weeks.
