OBJECTIVE
To examine the effect of donepezil for the treatment of cognitive and behavioral disorders associated with thalamic lesions in a 45-year-old male who suffered an infarct in the left thalamus.
BACKGROUND
Recent studies suggest that donepezil may improve executive functions impairments due to subcortical ischemic lesions.
METHOD
The effects of donepezil were analyzed in a single-case of thalamic infarction with cognitive and behavioral alterations in an open label study.
RESULTS
Significant behavioral modifications related to improved performances in executive functions were observed with the treatment.
CONCLUSION
The results suggest that donepezil may have significant effect on executive functions that can alter behavioral outcomes after thalamic infarctions.

研究多奈哌齐对一名45岁左侧丘脑梗死男性患者丘脑损伤相关认知和行为障碍的治疗效果。
背景
近期研究表明，多奈哌齐可能改善皮质下缺血性病变所致的执行功能障碍。
方法
在一项开放标签研究中，对一例伴有认知和行为改变的丘脑梗死患者分析多奈哌齐的效果。
结果
治疗后观察到与执行功能改善相关的显著行为改变。
结论
结果表明，多奈哌齐可能对执行功能有显著影响，可改变丘脑梗死后的行为结果。
