Abstract

INTRODUCTION

This study was undertaken as a retrospective analysis of the effectiveness of fissure sealing in first and second permanent molars of children and teenagers between the age of 6 and 18 years participating in an individual prevention program (IP) at the author's dental practice in Dortmund during 1998-2007.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The population taking part in the IP program was divided into two groups: 345 patients with fissure sealing and 161 patients forming the control group without fissure sealing.

CONCLUSIONS

Comparison of the results in both groups confirmed the effectiveness of fissure sealing in caries prevention.

引言

本研究是对1998年至2007年期间在多特蒙德作者的牙科诊所参加个人预防计划（IP）的6至18岁儿童和青少年的第一恒磨牙和第二恒磨牙进行窝沟封闭效果的回顾性分析。

材料与方法

参加IP计划的人群分为两组：345例接受窝沟封闭的患者和161例未进行窝沟封闭的对照组患者。

结论

两组结果比较证实了窝沟封闭在预防龋齿方面的有效性。
