The asymmetric unit of the title compound, Zn(C(7)H(8)N(4)S)(2)(2)·2H(2)O, contains two Zn(pht)(2) cations (pht is pyridine-2-carbaldehyde thio-semicarbazone), four nitrate anions and four water mol-ecules. In the cations, each Zn(II) ion adopts a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry, being chelated by two tridentate pht ligands. In the crystal, the cations, anions and water mol-ecules are connected via O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.
标题化合物Zn(C₇H₈N₄S)₂₂·2H₂O的不对称单元包含两个Zn(pht)₂阳离子（pht为吡啶-2-甲醛硫代半卡巴腙）、四个硝酸根阴离子和四个水分子。在阳离子中，每个Zn(II)离子采用扭曲的八面体配位几何构型，由两个三齿pht配体螯合。在晶体中，阳离子、阴离子和水分子通过O-H⋯O和N-H⋯O氢键连接成三维网络。
