The interactional aspect of suicidal risk is viewed from an objectrelational perspective. The degree of integration of the objectrepresentations is considered to be of central importance concerning manifest suicidal behaviour. Three types of such behaviour are identified: a high level interaction type, a low level interaction type and a pseudostable type. Different criteria characterizing these types are described.
