Haematologica. 1990 Jan-Feb;75(1):79-83.
The purpose of this review is to assess the current status of autologous bone marrow transplantation in acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In the first part of the review the biological aspects of minimal residual disease are discussed and in the second part the most recent clinical results analyzed. Only the studies that contained adequate response and survival data were selected for analysis, including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and proceedings of international meetings. The most current or complete references were used for series reported more than once.
