OBJECTIVES
Chylothorax is an infrequent but serious complication after thoracic surgery. Optimal management is still controversial. Surgical re-interventions are associated with significant morbidity and mortality.
DESIGN
During a 2-year period, 3 patients developed chylothorax after oesophagectomy. This was treated conservatively, following our departmental protocol.
RESULTS
Conservative management (total parenteral nutrition, bowel rest, pleural drainage and octreotide, followed by a low-fat diet) was successful in all 3 cases within a reasonable period of time (14 - 18 days). CONCLUSION; We recommend conservative measures as the first-line treatment for postoperative chylothorax.
目的
乳糜胸是胸外科手术后一种罕见但严重的并发症。最佳治疗方案仍存在争议。手术再次干预与显著的发病率和死亡率相关。
设计
在两年期间，3例患者在食管切除术后发生乳糜胸。按照我们科室的方案对其进行了保守治疗。
结果
保守治疗（全胃肠外营养、肠道休息、胸腔引流和奥曲肽，随后给予低脂饮食）在所有3例患者中均在合理时间内（14 - 18天）取得成功。
结论
我们建议将保守措施作为术后乳糜胸的一线治疗方法。
