The general outlines and manifold aspects of oromaxillofacial pain are described on the basis of personal experience. Diagnostic difficulties are also outlined with emphasis on the basic features of symptomatic and essential forms. Finally the treatment protocol adopted is described with particular reference to symptomatic neoplastic forms.
