[The National Observatory on End of Life Care, progress for palliative care].

Created in 2010, the French National Observatory on End of Life Care is responsible for drawing up an overview of existing knowledge in order to gain a better understanding of the conditions of end of life. It must contribute to the dissemination of the palliative culture and the development of training and research. Its work must also throw light on the choices made in the area of health policies. Nursing expertise is therefore crucial to the fulfilment of these objectives.
