There is an interrelationship between the mind, body and emotions in the fight against cancer. Stress seems to play a key role in the generation and continuation of cancer and there appear to be cancer-prone personality patterns associated with the propagation of increased stress levels. Psychological intervention methods have been developed to help patients cope, and the health care team can make a difference.
