[The "Bibliothèque diabolique" of doctor Bourneville (1882-1902)].

Published by Dr Bourneville between 1882 and 1902, the nine volumes of la "Bibliothèque diabolique" represent an original editorial project, at the crossroads of science, history and politics. By comparing continuously ancient and modern clinical signs, Bourneville never ceased to prove the identity of diabolical possession, mystic ecstasy and hysteric diseases.The study of the "Bibliothèque diabolique" shows once more that building such a published collection was one of the basements of republican propaganda in XIXth century France.
