[Toxicology of ozone and other photo-oxidants].

The occurrence of photochemical oxidants ("photochemical smog") in Europe in increasingly taken into account not only with regard to forest decline, but also to human health. One of the main components of the complex mixture of individual components and also a primary bioindicator is ozone. Regarding ozone-concentrations in the environment the review presents the general biological effects of ozone, results of animal experiments and observation in man.
