A patient with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) developed pancytopenia when azathioprine (first 2.0 mg kg-1 day-1, then 2.5 mg kg-1 day-1) was added to prednisone for active SLE. This unusual toxic effect of azathioprine occurred during the reduction of corticosteroid dosage. After discontinuation of azathioprine, clinical and haematological recovery occurred.
一名系统性红斑狼疮（SLE）患者在使用泼尼松治疗活动性SLE时加用硫唑嘌呤（初始剂量为2.0mg·kg⁻¹·d⁻¹，之后为2.5mg·kg⁻¹·d⁻¹）后出现全血细胞减少。硫唑嘌呤这种不寻常的毒性作用发生在糖皮质激素剂量减少期间。停用硫唑嘌呤后，临床症状和血液学指标得以恢复。
