[Genetic counseling: values orientation of the counselor and his effect on the decision process of clients].

Counseling sessions, post-counseling questioning and interviews with four counselors of a genetic counseling centre in the Federal Republic of Germany were investigated to work out the counselor's intended and real influence taking upon the counselee's decision making, the reflections of these counselors about the influence, they possibly take, and the values, the counselor's "manner of advising" is based on.
